Monstrum is an immersive and participatory bedtime story that takes the audience on a journey back to childhood fears of monsters to rediscover what these creatures were, where they came from, and what they warned against. The piece looks at how they reflect our worries and anxieties of what lies beyond our safe spaces. Through dialogue and collective drawing it will invite the audience, cuddled up in blankets and pillows, to engage in revisiting their childhood monsters, before exploring what sort of things could be considered monsters in their adult lives, creating new beasts that lurk in the unknown.
