New Harvest Night

New Harvest Night

Sun 03.0820:00 - 23:00
Sorry, event is sold out!

The storytellers you know and love, who often perform on our Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will present to you new work at our New Harvest night. They have invested in longer stories, bringing you more experimental material. Some of these stories will turn into longer shows. All of them need you, a captive audience, to listen and enjoy the fresh fruits.

In this edition, we are happy to have on our stage:

Basak Layic – Home Sweet Home
Framed for murder in a courtroom unlike any other, Basak Layic takes the audience on a darkly funny journey through the absurd realities of Amsterdam’s housing crisis where every chapter pushes her closer to the edge. Blending courtroom satire, poetic confession, and deadpan absurdity, Home Sweet Home explores scarcity, shame, and survival with humor. It’s a comedy about loneliness. A tragedy about heating. And a love letter to anyone who’s ever had to beg for a place to live.

Joep Vermolen – Late Bloomer
‘Late Bloomer’ is a show for anyone who ever feels like they don’t understand things that everyone else seems to understand. A multi medial comedy show that celebrates our shared experience of “l don’t know what I’m doing”.

Rashi Agarwal – Person of Color

Rashi, the desi comedic voice of Amsterdam, you may know her from her viral TikToks and Reels on everything Dutch culture, along with tackling important social issues like feminism, ethical fashion, white privilege, and colonialism. Hailing from south India, she has become more Dutch than she would have liked living here for 6 years but still won’t shy away from pointing out that ‘broodje kaas’ is not ‘lunch’. ‘Person of Colour’ is a funny and heartfelt show exploring race, identity, and privilege. From battling sexism in India to facing racism in the Netherlands, walk in Rashi’s (big) shoes.
